3. Data Collection on Our Website
Cookies and Local Storage
This website only uses technically necessary cookies or comparable local storage in your browser. No cookies are set for analysis, tracking or advertising purposes and no third-party cookies.
Specifically, the following is stored:
- Language selection (cookie
clp_lang): stores the language you have selected so that you are not redirected again on your next visit. Duration: up to 12 months. - Cookie notice (local storage
clp_consent): stores that you have acknowledged the cookie notice so that it does not appear again on every visit.
This storage serves exclusively the basic function of the website that you have requested and is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The operator has a legitimate interest in a functional and user-friendly website. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow them in individual cases or exclude them in general, as well as activate the automatic deletion of cookies when the browser is closed. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.
Server Log Files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Host name of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources.
The basis for the data processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of its website – for this, the server log files must be recorded.
Contact by Email
On our website we provide contact options by email and telephone; a contact form is not offered. If you contact us by email, your details including the contact data you provide there will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, provided that your enquiry is related to the fulfilment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), provided that this was requested. The data remains with us until you request its deletion, withdraw your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
4. Maps
Map Display (MapLibre GL / CARTO)
To display our locations, we use an interactive map on individual pages (e.g. “Locations” and “Contact”). The map is displayed using the open-source software library MapLibre GL JS, which is delivered from our own server. The actual map data (map style, vector tiles, symbols and font glyphs) is loaded from the servers of the provider CARTO (CARTO Technologies, Inc., New York, USA) via the domains basemaps.cartocdn.com and tiles.basemaps.cartocdn.com.
When you access a page with a map, your browser establishes a direct connection to CARTO’s servers. In doing so, your IP address is transmitted to CARTO; a transfer to the USA may take place in this process. CLP has no influence on any further data processing by CARTO.
The use of the map service is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our locations and easy findability of the places we specify. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Further information on the handling of user data can be found in CARTO’s privacy policy: https://carto.com/privacy/.
